{"id":2,"date":"2010-10-16T17:30:19","date_gmt":"2010-10-16T17:30:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jonafras.conlang.org\/?page_id=2"},"modified":"2011-01-08T11:40:27","modified_gmt":"2011-01-08T10:40:27","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/jonafras.conlang.org\/?page_id=2","title":{"rendered":"About"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This website is primarily a blog devoted to presenting my conlanging work. <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Conlang\">Conlanging<\/a> is the hobby &#8211; or art &#8211; of <em>constructing languages. <\/em>I&#8217;m mostly concerned with what within the conlanging community is called <em>artlanging<\/em> &#8211; that is, creating languages for my own pleasure, not necessarily tied in with any other more laudable goal (such as e.g. improving worldwide communication, as &#8216;auxlangs&#8217; such as Esperanto and Lojban aim to do). I&#8217;ve been involved in this hobby since 2001, and tie in all of my creations into the social and cultural context of my <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Conworld\">conworld<\/a>, named (rather arbitrarily) <em>Burnath.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>My principal languages include High Eolic (grammar PDF <a href=\"http:\/\/dl.dropbox.com\/u\/5436831\/High%20Eolic%20Grammar.pdf\">here<\/a>) and Trurian (my first conlang, currently undergoing a major refurbishment). I&#8217;ve worked on many others set in my conworld over the years, but these are the two major ones.
