The noun sanäl is very often encountered in the collocation sanäli derwono, literally ‘find a seating-place’, but often used in the sense of ‘to be welcome’ (especially at a place, or to participate in a discussion). Sometimes, this is accompanied by the adverb yöser ‘able to’, as in the example above.
