Although mattúc is technically intransitive (in terms of the morphology it takes), it often acquires semantic complements with the addition of a relevant noun in the illative, as demonstrated in the example above. Several other verbs exhibit such behavior, such as yangarac ‘to hang (from)’ and nÃrcav ‘to study, learn (of)’.
