High Eolic word of the day: surtac

surtac (noun): raw wool; hair, pelt.

“there are seventeen bear pelts hung in the hunter’s house”

surtac is one of the few words in High Eolic that have been borrowed from Carbian languages. Originally from Trurian sörtech ‘raw, unspun wool’, it is also used to refer to animal hair and skins/pelts more generally.
