“I forgot the money at [my] house”
The original meaning of nasárte was ‘to equip, improve’, but it has also come to mean ‘to leave, forget something at a certain place’. This drift is the source of the verb’s rather curious case alignment, where the entity being ‘forgotten’ is in the benefactive case (as with vacec in the example sentence above; alternatively, this refers to the thing with which the patient was ‘improved’), whereas the place of forgetting (the ‘improved’ patient) is in the accusative (as with párundalut in the example above).
