High Eolic word of the day: címen

címen (noun): soup, broth (especially with meat).

“the officer provided soup for all of us” / “the officer invited us all over for soup”

címen can be used to refer to “soup” in general, but it more often designates a kind of dense, hearty broth with pieces of meat and either buckwheat (tulún) or rye (sanarca). It is often eaten by soldiers.
