High Eolic word of the day: tamándav

tamánd- (intransitive verb), imperfect tamándav: to look, look around; to wait, await.

len tamánd-av sicándettárut palundemec yat civa maváres
we await-IMPERF merchant.ILL.DEF plaza.INESS when become sunset.ESS
“we were waiting for the merchant in the plaza until evening”

As shown by the example sentence, an oblique argument in the illative can be added to a sentence with the verb tamándav in order to express who is being waited for.
